R&B singer Jill Scott gave birth to a baby boy named Jett Hamilton Roberts, her reps confirmed to Usmagazine.com Tuesday.

Scott, who made her film debut in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?, welcomed her first child with her drummer fiance, Lil’ John Roberts.

Jett was born Monday at 4:20 p.m. He weighs 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
